    Description

    This is your once in a lifetime to own a piece of Rock 'n Roll legend Jim Morrison's former
    home.
    This is one of our rare featured items sought after by Jim Morrison (The Doors) fans and music
    memorabilia collectors.
    Up for auction is the original authentic 1932 STAIRCASE TILE from
    the
    private staircase 8216 1/2 of
    "Jim Morrison's Last Known U.S. Residence."
    Your choice of the "figure 8" design or the "
    flower" design. Both style sizes are approx.
    6" x 6 ".
    Each tile may have slight variations or imperfections.
    The owner has tried to keep the bldg. in its
    original condition but was forced to remove the tiles
    by the city in a 2018 Notice of Violation order to demolish and re-build the private staircase
    leading to Jim's former apartment. They were removed with delicate care but not all survived in
    one piece so we have very limited tiles. Once they are gone, they are gone!
    Photos show original staircase prior to repair and photos taken during the renovation process.
    Winning bidder has first option to purchase additional tiles at same winning bid price.

    This landmark building "Cheri Amour"
    is where Jim was living with his longtime girlfriend,
    Pamela Courson, from 1968-1971. It
    holds a cultural and historical significance to all Doors
    fans worldwide as it is his last and only U.S. home that is open to the public
    as a widely
    sought after tourist attraction and the only U.S. mock "grave" for Jim in the Memorial Garden
    of the courtyard.
    Item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
    All items are carefully removed, collected, marked by location, and warehoused by owner of
    building "Cheri Amour" to be sold as a collectible piece of memorabilia in remembrance of
    legendary rock star Jim Morrison.
