In the 1930's my friend's grandfather opened a general store in rural Washington state, eventually handing over the business to his two sons.  Now, well over half a century later, the store is closed and the family is sorting through the inventory still on the back shelves.  Most of the items are from the 1950's and still in their original boxes.   Many of the listings in my store came from those shelves.
DESCRIPTION
This is a wonderful serving set and would be perfect for holiday entertaining.  It's never been off the store shelves until now and has never been used.  I polished it a bit but after all these years the pieces use a little more to really shine.
The large centerpiece is hinged as you can see in the photos.  The silver on the inside shows what can be done with a little more polishing and buffing. The large shell is about 4 3/4" across and 4 1/2" wide.  The bowl's depth is about 1".
The four small shells 3" x 2 3/4".  An amazing set to add to your collection.
