VINTAGE NEOCLASSICAL SILVER-PLATED ERCUIS
CHAMPAGNE BUCKET OR WINE COOLER
Circa 1920s to 1930s.
Stamped on underside: "ERCUIS" with hallmarks above and below (see photo).
A very similar champagne bucket has been sold by Works Unlimited. Their website states that it was made for the famous Hotel du Cap-Eden Rock in the South of France (http://www.worksunlimited.com/winebuckets.htm).
DIMENSIONS:
8" high x 7-3/4" top diameter x 6-1/2" base diameter
CONDITION:
Excellent overall vintage condition. Light overall surface scratching from age and use. A small dent to top of rim (see photo). Interior clean.
