his pair of vintage French

silver plate sugar tongs is designed in the “
Spatour
” pattern. It bears the maker’s marks of the famous
Maison
Christofle
in Paris. The first mark consists of the name “
Christofle
” written in block letters below the initials O.C. (
Orfèvrerie
Christofl
e
) surrounding the image of a scale surmounted by four stars. The second maker’s mark consists of the word France below the initials “O.C.” (
Orfèvrerie
Christofle
) surrounding the figure of a knight from a chess set. This piece is in very good condition with the exception of faint scratches due to age and use. Please refer to the detailed on this page.
