Most converter suppliers & rebuilders are now applying expensive “core” charges due to the scarcity of the Chrysler Corp. factory 727 high-stall converters.
Fresh, rebuilt 727 Chrysler OEM 10-3/4" HIGH STALL torque converter (24-spline input shaft) with NEW factory Chrysler V8 flexplate. This is a “zero balance” converter which has no external weights on the face; usable with any 318, 340, 361, 383, 413, 426 Wedge and 440’s with FORGED crank (EXCEPT “Six Pack”). It is a 10 ¾” (“WIDE ring gear”) unit that fits any 727 with a 24 spline input shaft (generally 1968 through 1995, NON-lockup). 1962-early 1967 727’s need input shaft updated to 24 spline to use this converter; I have those parts available. Aprox. stall speeds are 2400 on 340, 2600 on 361-383, and 2900-3000 on 413, 426 Wedge and 440’s; stall speeds are dependent on engine torque output. Chrysler converters are furnace (“sweat”) brazed during manufacture at the factory which makes them very strong and resistant to dirt accumulation internally (Ford and GM are not); excellent street/strip converter.
