Description

Work on Camp Lee started just 18 days after America declared war on Germany, and within a couple of months some 14,000 men were stationed there.
Camp Lee was a training camp for the 80th, "Blue Mountain" Division (National Army) and at the time this book was printed, General Lloyd Brett was the ad interim Camp Commander.  Most of the troops came from Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. The 80th Division was commanded by Major General Adelbert Cronkhite during WWI and he is featured prominently in this book.  Cronkhite retired to Pittsburgh after the war and died in Florida in 1937.  The book is filled with pictures of officers and general life at the camp.
After the war, in 1921, the camp was closed and torn down except for one building.  At the start of WWII the camp was reconstructed and became a permanent Army post.
The cover is embossed and printed on brown stiff stock paper with a cloth tie and measures 7" x 10"
and is about .25 inches thick.  Sorry, no international shipping.
