    Description

    Most unusual and rare find.  This elegant device has 3 prongs that hold a roast in place while carving.  Hallmarked R & B which we are told signifies ROBERTS & BELK of Sheffield Yorkshire England. The Aladdin's Lamp hallmark was registered in 1879.  We estimate this was made in the last quarter of the 1800s when these devices were still in vogue.   This is silverplated.  The design resembles a wreath. Approximate dimensions: 5 1/4", x 2 3/8" diameter of ring.  Thank You
