IMPORTANT NOTE:  Many Collector Grade Publications titles have gone OUT OF PRINT....with NO REPRINTS planned.  Most recently "Backbone of the Wehrmacht", "Black Rifle", "Black Rifle II", "FAL Rifle", "Ultimate Thompson", "War Baby" and "War Baby III", etc. etc. etc.!!!  With the passing of the owner (Blake Stevens) in early 2018 the continued availability of ALL remaining CGP's titles is in jeopardy.  I suggest that if you are interested in ANY Collector Grade Publications title - that you purchase it soon (very soon) - while they still are available (and still being discounted) - as when they go out of print - prices skyrocket and even locating a USED copy at any price will become difficult.  When this goes out - I see 0.00 like instantly on this as the going price for USED sets (when found - LOL).  So don't miss out on this critical Collector Grade Pubs title while still being discounted.
    >>>>>>>#1 EBAY GUN BOOK SELLER LAST EIGHT YEARS<<<<<<<
Back by popular demand of my customers.  A couple of years back I discontinued stocking Collector Grade Publications "Pistole Parabellum" and went with Simpson's "Borchardt and Luger Automatic Pistols" - in retrospect a mistake on my part.   While the authors "claimed" that "Pistole Parabellum" was not published "as they wished" and subsequently went to Simpson's to "do it their way"...the resultant product simply wasn't all they cracked it up to be.  Those familiar with any or all of the works done by Collector Grade Publications (Blake Stevens/Canada) KNOW just how well THEY KNOW HOW TO BEST publish an authors work.  How good a book is not only about the raw data contained therein but about the PRESENTATION of that data - and no one (IMO after selling gun books for 38 years) CONSISTANTLY does that better than COLLECTOR GRADE PUBLICATIONS....NO ONE!!!  They truly do publish the "WORLDS FINEST GUN BOOKS".   I have been receiving comments from some of my best customers (who have extensive arms reference book libraries) and Luger pistol collectors - who have BOTH the Collector Grade and the Simpson works.  And I'm getting continual comments like - "superior photographic resolution", "superior presentation" (ie. much easier to use, a more sensible read, easier to find things, etc.), "higher quality cover, binding, paper, etc." --- and the list goes on....(ie the Collector Grade book over the Simpson's).  Accordingly - as I know and trust these guys - they know a lot more about Lugers than I ever will and they read and use these books (I just sell them) - I have made the decision to return to the Collector Grade Publications book set - as that's what my customers are asking for and as a FOUR DECADE retailer of the FINEST ARMS REFERENCE BOOKS THERE ARE - I want to offer the very best Luger book - and "Pistole Parabellum" is that - period!!!  You can read more about the specific content (and all I talk about here) on the publishers website and I suggest you do so.  The book (actually three volumes) is incredible - probably the BEST product to ever come out of Collector Grade Pubs.  Almost 2,000 pages, over 7,000 high resolution photos, almost 2,000 in full color, over one million words of text, etc.  Covers ALL LUGER pistols - military and commercial - all manufacturers - all variations - accessories and accoutrements.   (SEE FULL DESCRIPTION BELOW)   And NOW priced for LESS than the Simpson's work (5 vs. 5).  NOTE: This book was originally published with a cover price of 5.  It's been dramatically reduced in price - close to the publishers cost - I won't go into the rationale of WHY here - you probably can figure that out yourself!!!  Anyhow, that said - this is a tremendous value at 5 - that's a volume and if you know anything at all about C/G books you know just how reasonably this is.  And I have them further discounted to 7.50!!! An absolute must set for ALL SERIOUS Luger Pistol collectors.  Simply the best Luger reference there is.  So, now that I have restocked SGB's with the 'right' book (per my trusted regulars) - don't miss this opportunity to buy the very best there in in Luger books right here on EBAY from a trusted veteran EBAY GUN BOOK SELLER - #1 EBAY GUN BOOK SELLER now 7 years and counting!!!

    "Pistole Parabellum" OVERVIEW:
The Luger pistol has its roots in the C93 Borchardt, the first commercially viable self-loading (automatic) pistol. Hugo Borchardt refused to make changes to the design, leading its manufacturer and the owner of the patents, DWM, to task employee Georg Luger with making the necessary improvements. Luger did away with the awkward flat leaf spring assembly and vertical grip of the Borchardt, kept the short recoil toggle action, and gave it an angled grip. The resulting "Pistole Parabellum" was one of the most successful handguns ever produced, with some 3 million Lugers made from 1900-1945, and adopted by militaries from the hardy Swiss to the powerful German army in both world wars. The Luger has been of great interest to collectors for over a half century, leading Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess and Joachim Görtz to write an exhaustive three volume reference book set on the subject in 2010...by far the most definitive and comprehensive book on the iconic semi-automatic pistol.  The book set features a strikingly illustrated slipcase, sports elegant pebbled green leather hardcovers with embossed "GL" (for Georg Luger) monogram at each middle front, along with the authors' names, the volume number, and "Pistole Parabellum" in gold leaf down the spine, and features almost 2,000 pages full of descriptive text, period pictures, and color photographs of C93 Borchardts, Borchardt-Luger transitionals, 1899 Luger prototypes, early Swiss pattern Lugers, P-04 German Navy Lugers, lP.08 "lange" Artillery Lugers with long barrels, tangent sights, shoulder stocks/wooden holsters, and snail drum mags, German Army P.08s, Lugers for Persian, Siamese, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Russian, and Dutch contracts, American imported Lugers produced specifically for A.F. Stoeger of New York, incredible details on grips, finishes, actions, sights, markings, crests, serial numbers, barrels, manuals, leather ammo pouches and holsters, wooden dummies, mags, snail drum loaders, screwdrivers, pistol cases and cased sets, sub-caliber training devices, and ammo, and a plethora of other invaluable information.  With little doubt - by far - THE #1 LUGER PISTOL REFERENCE!!!  Absolute "must" for ALL serious Luger pistol collectors and historians.
