This was Jim's personal door bell at his front door at the top of his private staircase at 8216 1/2.
lt was recently removed from the exterior wall where it has been for the past 87 years. You can only imagine what legendary musicians came to Jim's home and rang this bell.
This landmark building "Cheri Amour"
is where Jim was living with his longtime girlfriend, Pamela Courson, from 1968-1971. It
holds a cultural and historical significance to all Doors fans worldwide as it is his last and only U.S. home that is open to the public
as a widely sought after tourist attraction and the only U.S. mock "grave" for Jim in the Memorial Garden of the courtyard.
