    C.C. Christofle Antique Mustard Stand with a Crystal Insert – 1890’s
    Mustard is a familiar staple on French tables, usually presented in an elegant mustard server.
    This one is a classical silverplated Christofle mustard server, with a crystal insert dating from the 1890’s.
    It is stamped and hallmarked C.C. Christofle, for Charles Christofle on the base, the founder of the famous French silverware company and the crystal insert is decorated in a very Empire style of the 1880’s-1890’s.
    The stand
    measures 5 inches high and is in very good condition, with small traces of use on the lid’s edging.
    The crystal insert is original and perfect – no chips, no cracks and no fissures.
